Scaffolding art
Art in scaffolding.
A scaffold can do more than carry: it becomes a stage. „Art scaffolds“ combine safety with design – as a carrier of facade art and advertising, or as a special scaffold for the restoration of artworks.
Our contribution
From advertising scaffold to architecture museum.
Rohrgerüstbau Pronin turned „art in scaffolding“ into a discipline of its own: large-format advertising scaffolds as a stage for murals and brand campaigns (including a Netflix campaign, with advertising partners from Frankfurt am Main) and demanding engineered scaffolds for culture and cityscape.
Reference project – the „museum“: a bespoke scaffold was built for Urbaneo – the young architecture centre in Hamburg's HafenCity. Urbaneo is a participatory exhibition and architecture house – a place where scaffolding and design meet.

Art on the scaffold
Aesthetic and restorative applications.
- Facade art
- Scaffolds become a canvas: printed mesh and large-format motifs turn the facade into a stage for art and design during the construction period.
- Restoration
- Special scaffolding adapts to the artwork: for the restoration of sculptures and monuments, modular scaffolds are fitted on site so that every surface can be reached safely.
- Visual design
- Bold colours or wrapping methods deliberately integrate the site into the cityscape – the scaffold becomes part of the design rather than a mere necessity.
